A floating, sustainable experiment in an age of rising oceans

In 2017, The United Nations declared 2021-2030 the “Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development.”  As populations grow and landmasses shrink, the ocean can play a vital role in providing much needed affordable homes.

Sea Village is a community of neighbours living in floating households in the heart of Vancouver, BC. It offers a sustainable model that demonstrates that shorelines are a vast nature-based resource on which we can float our homes and enjoy our lives.
